The purpose of this website is to convey the design process of the work done by Iowa State ECpE Senior Design Team 04. The team's project is to design a substation to interconnect a 69 kV windfarm in Ames, IA to Cedar Falls, IA and Des Moines, IA through the use of 138 kV transmission lines. The end effect of the project allows for integration of renewables into the homes of residents and building of commerical entities in Cedar Falls and Des Moines.
